Montecito Lake Resort’s Equestrian Center offers an abundance of
riding programs. All 20 horses on site are schooled in both
English and Western Equitation. We have horses suitable for
riders of all abilities. In addition to our two riding arenas,
we offer many delightful trail rides that lead to spectacular
views of the Great Western Divide. The most popular of these is
the weekly Sunset Trail Ride – don’t miss it!
Professional Instructors
Whether you’re learning to ride or are exploring the area on one
of our guided trail rides, our five professional riding
instructors will help you to have a great experience. They’re
not just teachers – all of our instructors have competed in
equestrian events, too. Several come from England and share what
they’ve learned in the great stables there.
Weekly Horse Shows
Don’t miss the “Horse Whispering” demonstrations at our weekly
Horse Show. Our staff and their handpicked horses will excite
and amaze you!
Sign-Up & Fees
Montecito Lake Resort’s Equestrian Programs are among our most
popular. Sign-ups are taken daily on a first-come, first-served

(see the sidebar to the right for further details).
Riding enthusiasts are welcome to spend the entire day at the
stables, learning about horses and making friends with our
resident herd.
