Montecito Lake Summer Family Camp offers a rich program of supervised activities for children age two and up. Activities are customized to meet the needs and interests of the kids in each age group.

Our handpicked counselors instruct children in canoeing, sailing, water-skiing, swimming, horseback riding, tennis, archery, trampoline, riflery, fencing, nature studies, stream fishing, and arts and crafts. We offer additional wholesome fun such as theme nights, dances, sing-a-long campfires, variety shows, water carnivals, fort building, junior gymnastics and pony rides.

On Sunday nights during the adults’ Welcome Meeting, we send the kids out to play games, meet their Group Leaders, and get to know the other kids in their age groups. They’ll make new friends that very first night. Each age group has a Lead Counselor who works with them throughout the week. The Lead Counselor helps campers learn how to use the “free choice” program and how to sign up for waterskiing and horseback riding. The Leader also accompanies campers to group activities such as archery, riflery, and arts and crafts. Kids can choose to do the “free choice” program or go with the group. We always try to place children in groups and programs that are the best fit for each child. Our overriding considerations are the health and safety of your children, and the appropriateness of activities to their developmental stages.

Parents can relax and enjoy Montecito Summer Family Camp, secure in the knowledge that their little ones are having a wonderful time under the supervision of our carefully trained counselors. Our Primary Program for children age two to six is headed by six experienced Child Development counselors. This program offers activities that promote social and learning skills, boost self-esteem, and build confidence – all in a fun-filled environment.

Tadpoles (ages three and four) and Chipmunks (ages five and six) have their own “home bases” with Adventure Cabins and outdoor play yards. Their programs include swim time, pony rides, dock fishing, motorboat rides, Kiddie Olympics, goodie bakes, naptime, story time, nature hikes, snacks, and much more!


Montecito Lake Resort Summer Family Camp also offers babysitting for children age two to eleven. Advance notice with the Front Desk is required, preferably at the time you make your reservations. An additional fee is charged for this service.
